In the beginning,...

Since the age of six I can remember our mother taking my brother and me to the Greenville SC dog show. We didn't have show dogs but she had always wanted a collie (this was the Lassie era) and so we never missed an opportunity to go the dog show.  I would stand at the Afgan Hound ring and love to watch them sail around the ring with their beautiful long coats.  Like it was yesterday, I remember telling my mother I was going to be in that ring one day.

I met my first sheltie in 1977.  At the time I had a 8 month old Irish Setter named Nikki, we were enrolled in our first ever obedience class.  She was quite the challenge to train, but we did it and earned her CD title.  In our class there were several shelties, and I couldn't help but notice how eager and quickly they wanted to please their owners.  So an executive decision was made, if I was going to continue to compete in obedience I had to switch breeds.

As luck would have it, a good friend of ours, Bennie Page had a litter of the cutest little brown sheltie puppies and she agreed to let me have one of the girls since it was my birthday, I named her Brandi.  She was sired by CH Chisterling Gold Windjammer, unfortunately she grew just a little to much but she easily earned her CD title and she gave me the opportunity to play in the confirmation ring.

This website is a look into our past, a tribute to our current shelties and a dream for our future.  I hope that you enjoy your time spent here.

Now that you know a bit about me, let's talk about our girls, boys and of course, the babies
